Terms & Conditions

Little Story Stars Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Little Story Stars! By enrolling in our weekly storytelling classes, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which outline your responsibilities as a parent/guardian and our commitments to providing a safe, enriching, and values-based environment for your child.

1. General Overview

Little Story Stars is a weekly class for children aged 3–5, designed to bring stories to life while nurturing early learning, creativity, independence, and Islamic values. Each session is based on a selected story and supported by activities that build literacy, numeracy, phonics, and motor skills—all within a caring and faith-conscious setting.

2. Registration and Payment

·      2.1 Registration: All children must be registered before attending any session. The registration form must be completed in full, including medical and allergy information (see Section 6).

·      2.2 Fees: All fees must be paid in advance to confirm your child’s place in the class. Non-payment may result in the loss of your child’s spot.

·      2.3 Non-Refundable Fees: Fees are non-refundable for missed sessions or voluntary withdrawals. Refunds are only considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the organiser.

3. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

·      3.1 Medical Information: Parents/guardians must provide accurate medical and allergy details. Any updates must be communicated promptly.

·      3.2 Emergency Contacts: Parents/guardians must ensure contact details, including at least one emergency contact, are kept current.

·      3.3 Timely Drop-off and Pick-Up: Children must be dropped off and picked up on time. Late pick-ups may incur a fee of £10.

·      3.4 Potty Training Policy: If your child is not fully potty trained, you must remain available in the mothers’ lounge during class times. If your child needs assistance, you will be called upon to help them. Please ensure your child has a spare set of clothes in their bag in case of accidents.

·      3.5 Independent Attendance: Children are expected to attend independently to encourage confidence and self-reliance. Parents are welcome to stay in the mothers' lounge during the session.

4. Behaviour Policy

·      4.1 Respect and Safety: All children are expected to treat others kindly and follow instructions from staff.

·      4.2 Positive Behaviour Management: Minor issues will be addressed with gentle redirection. Continued misbehaviour may lead to verbal reminders, short time-outs, or involvement from parents. If disruptive behaviour persists, participation may be paused or discontinued.

·      4.3 Parental Communication: We will keep you informed of any behavioural concerns and will work with you to support your child’s development.

5. Safeguarding Policy

·      5.1 Child Protection: Little Story Stars is committed to safeguarding all children. All staff are DBS-checked and trained in child safeguarding procedures.

·      5.2 Safe Environment: Risk assessments are regularly carried out to ensure a secure, age-appropriate environment.

6. Medical and Allergy Information

·      6.1 Disclosure: All allergies, medical needs, and dietary restrictions must be disclosed during registration.

·      6.2 Emergency Action: In case of a medical emergency, we will take necessary action and contact you immediately.

·      6.3 Medications: If your child requires medication during the session, please notify staff in advance and provide clear written instructions.

·      6.4 Additional Needs: If your child has developmental, behavioural, or learning needs, please inform us during registration so that we can make appropriate accommodations.

·      6.5 Action Plans: Children with severe allergies, asthma, or other conditions may need an individual care plan agreed upon before attending.

7. Clothing and Belongings

·      7.1 Comfortable Dress: Please dress your child in comfortable clothes suitable for active play.

·      7.2 Personal Belongings: Children should bring a labelled water bottle and a change of clothes if not fully potty trained. We recommend leaving valuable items at home as we cannot take responsibility for lost belongings.

8. Mothers' Lounge and Supervision

·      8.1 Mothers' Lounge: The mothers’ lounge is a quiet, baby-friendly space available during class times. It is intended as a space for mothers to relax, connect, or attend to younger children.

·      8.2 Supervision: Parents/guardians are fully responsible for supervising any children under the age of 3 who accompany them to the premises.

·      8.3 Belongings: All personal items, including prams, bags, and valuables, are the responsibility of the parent. Little Story Stars is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

·      8.4 Availability: If your child is not fully potty trained, you must remain available in the mothers’ lounge to assist them if needed during class.

8.5 Entry Fee: There is a £1 entry fee per session for use of the mothers’ lounge, which helps us maintain the space and provide refreshments.

8.6 Toys: You are welcome to bring along toys to keep younger children entertained. If you choose to do so, please ensure all toys are safe, age-appropriate, and clearly labelled. Shared toys are welcome but are brought at your own risk.

9. Liability

Little Story Stars is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage unless caused by negligence. Parents are responsible for their child’s safety before and after class, during drop-off and pick-up.
